    Red face raq 550 gecrashed

    hoi,

    Giusternacht is er een raq 550 gecrashed bij mij. Tijdens booten geeft ie nu een soort klokje links en Sun Cobalt in het display weer. Ook blokje dat heen en weer vliegt door het display onderin. Volgens mij probeert ie de kernel van hd te lezen, maar daar blijft het ook bij...

    Heeft iemand dit wel eens gehad? Zo jah, wat zou de snelste oplossing zijn omdat ding weer in de lucht te helpen?

    Zelf denk ik dat de hd overleden is.

    Probeert ie niet juist van het LAN te booten? Als je hem via een seriale kabel aan je PC hangt kun je met SPATIE in het bootmenu komen en zo starten van disk ipv netwerk...

    hmm, net boot type veranderd naar disk. Boot gewoon niet verder. Daarna boot type op rom gezet en dan boot ie weer tot hier en niet verder.
    Ik ben geen linux goeroe dus misschien komen er nog wel wat teletubbie vragen...

    Upgraden naar Rackstar OS geen optie? Heb hier onlangs twee 550's omgezet. Werkt ca. 20% sneller, heeft een 2.6 kernel en Apache 2, MySQL 4 en PHP4.4. Ben je ook weer up to date. Gebruik er zelf een als DNS3 en een voor Asterisk.
    OS is enkele weken publiekelijk vrijgegegeven en er wordt aardig aan gewerkt, ook aan de updates etc. Je zult alleen je rom moeten upgraden.

    ja tuurlijk een optie, maar hoe kan ik dit probleem nu oplossen? Zo en zo wil ik op een simpele manier mijn data veiligstellen.

    Kan de schijf effe mounten in een andere pc, maar de raq moet gewoon maar weer gaan draaien..

    Ik heb een cobalt hd weleens leeghehaald met een knoppix cd.
    Ik kon zo alles overzetten naar een andere cobalt machine.
