Hoi,
Ik begrijp niet dat als ik een simple pagina met daarin een charset setting:

<head>
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"> </meta>
<title>
hello
</title>
</head>
<body>
<?php print "hello "; ?>
</body>
</html>
deze niet automatisch door de browser worden opgepakt.
M.a.w. onder Firefox staat de setting:
-> View -> Character Encoding -> Western (ISO-8859-1)
Op de server Apache 2.0 staat:
#AddDefaultCharset UTF-8
AddDefaultCharset ISO-8859-1
In feite klopt het dus maar ik geef de meta tag commando: UTF-8
en blijft de browser op ISO-8859-1 staan...?
