how to mod_bandwidth?

ik probeer al een tijdje mod bandwidth goed aan de gang te krijgen.
Alles is volgens docs geinstalled, en werkt ook, alleen niet goed:

als ik ''bandwith all 0'' gebruik bij een virtual host: 100%[====================================>] 29,902,848 7.70M/s ETA 00:00
volle snelheid dus

als ik dat verander in ''bandwith all 262144'' krijg ik:
12% [===> ] 3,660,624 88.96K/s ETA 04:48,
dat zou eigenlijk rond de 256 kb/s moeten liggen. Als ik het nog hoger zet wordt de dl geen byte hoger...allemaal rond de 90 kb/s

mod_bandwidth kan wel eens gaar doen. Ik zie niet direct waarom het niet zou werken. Probeer anders eens de <Directory> buiten de virtualhost te zetten.

<directory> staat nu buiten virtualhost, apache restart, maar geen verschil, dlen gaat met 90-100 kb/s

en waar dan precies? of maakt dat niet uit

Step 1 - Download mod_bandwidth

#cd /usr/local/directadmin/customapache (You may change this)
#wget ftp://ftp.cohprog.com/pub/apache/mo...mod_bandwidth.c

Step 2 - APXS Compilation
#/usr/sbin/apxs -c ./mod_bandwidth.c -o /etc/httpd/modules/mod_bandwidth.so

Step 3 - Link Directory
#mkdir /tmp/apachebw
#mkdir /tmp/apachebw/link
#mkdir /tmp/apachebw/master
#chown -R apache:apache /tmp/apachebw

Step 4 - Modify Apache Conf
#vi /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

Place those lines in whatever place you want:
<IfModule mod_bandwidth.c>
BandWidthDataDir /tmp/apachebw
BandWidthModule On
</IfModule>


Step 5 - Customize Virtual Host Limitation
You may now customize each virtual host's httpd.conf located in
/usr/local/directadmin/data/user/{username}/

by adding "BandWidthModule On" (without quotes) in each <VirtualHost>, and mod_bandwidth tag like "BandWidth" inside <Directory> tag.


Step 6 - Do a safe apache restart
#service httpd restart


OK! You may now upload a huge file (enough to test) to a dummy site that you limited to test.

Bij mij werkt het ook niet juist, zie dit topic: http://www.webhostingtalk.nl/showthr...threadid=55582

Hij wil bij mij juist niet limiteren. Ik stel ik als maximum 1mbit, geen minimum limit. Zodra ik de site online gooi wordt er 4mbit getrokken, dat was niet de bedoeling. Stel ik het lager in, bijvoorbeeld max 50kb/sec en op een drukke site ook een minimum omdat er anders niet overblijft, dan werkt het wel juist. Alleen wil ik dat in de piekuren mensen langzaam gaan, en ik de rustige uren mensen lekker kunnen downloaden.
Iemand die andere tools heeft? Mod_trottle lijkt het juiste te kunnen doen maar blokkeerd juist de verbinding ipv rustig door te laten, dit las ik ook meer op internet dus lijkt een limitatie te zijn van het pakket.

wat bedoel je? ik gebruik de officiele versie...ik ken geen andere, hij komt van de officiele site vandaan

Hier werkt de module nochtans prima. Probeer misschien ook BandWidthPulse 500000 te zetten in httpd.conf. Dus iets van:

Zorg ook dat /directory/naar/mod_bandwidth schrijfbaar is voor de apache gebruiker (chown nobody ...)

met die bandwidthpulse gaat ie idd een stuk beter zo te zien
