Onderwerp: Foutmelding server

Hoi,

ik krijg nu als ik de server via het commando /etc/init.d/apache restart in putty invoer de volgende foutmelding:

Reloading apache modulesstart-stop-daemon: warning: failed to kill 25357: No such process
No process in pidfile `/var/run/apache.pid' found running; none killed.

wat is hier het probleem van?
ik heb namelijk alles geprobeerd maar hij blijft maar problemen geven

doe eens stop daarna start,

en anders probeer die apache.pid in /var/run eens te hernoemen, lijkt erop dat die nog een pid zoekt terwijl die niet meer bestaat.

(misschien stomme vraag)

Bij sommige fouten in de configfile kapt Apache ermee direct na het starten. Als je hem niet gestart krijgt kun je in het Apache errorlog kijken wat er aan de hand was.

Draait Apache wel?

de server was offline en de apache ook.
ik heb hem toen willen herstarten alleen deed deze het nog niet.

in de error.log file kom ik deze tegen:

alleen ik zou niet weten wat dit betekent

Hij kon niet luisteren op poort 80 (www), dus misschien is er nog een oud httpd proces dat niet goed afgesloten is.

Probeer eens met de hand:
killall -KILL httpd

een seconde of 10 wachten en dan Apache proberen te starten..

ik heb ditgeprobeerd maar dan krijg ik deze melding :
ro~# killall -kill httpd

Als je een netstat doet, zie je dan iets luisteren op port 80?

Zie je met een ps nog apache processen draaien?

Je kan voor je dit doet ook even je config file backuppen , moet je die niet opnieuw instellen

cp /etc/apache/httpd.conf /root/httpd.conf.bak ofzo

in de error.log file kom ik deze tegen:

Zoals eerder al gezegd is er dan een ander proces wat op deze poort draait. Dit heb ik wel eens gehad met mijn FTP server, toen bleek dat een programma wat absoluut niets met de FTP server te maken had op poort 21 te draaien.
Misschien is het in dit geval ook zoiets.
Misschien wilt Xinetd de poort gebruiken ofzo, komt soms geloof ik wel eens voor...

Je moet netstat en ps natuurlijk wel met de nodige parameters gebruiken.

netstat -anp
ps -Al
