Ze zeggen niet unlimited maar Unmetered. Er is dus wel een limiet, alleen meten ze je verbruik niet. Ze kunnen dus altijd het gebruik limiteren, dat lijkt me de catch

Ook hier stellen ze een limiet (usage policy)

Klopt. Er zijn weinig hosters die "unlimited" aanbieden die eigenlijk echt goed zijn. Meermaals kom je het tegen dat ze je dan gaan pakken op andere zaken, en als puntje bij paaltje komt betaal je gewoon evenveel als anders of betaal je minder, maar zit je een gans jaar vast aan een slecht netwerk, en een supportloos bedrijf wat denk ik net zo belangrijk is als de prijs.

Klopt. Er zijn weinig hosters die "unlimited" aanbieden die eigenlijk echt goed zijn. Meermaals kom je het tegen dat ze je dan gaan pakken op andere zaken, en als puntje bij paaltje komt betaal je gewoon evenveel als anders of betaal je minder, maar zit je een gans jaar vast aan een slecht netwerk, en een supportloos bedrijf wat denk ik net zo belangrijk is als de prijs.

Unlimited kan niet, er is altijd een limiet.

Hoezo lijkt dat niet waar? Ligt aan een aantal factoren zoals opbouw site en wat men er komt doen.
Met veel bezoekers kan het al heel wat uithalen om plaatjes een paar kB te verkleinen..

Alles wat JIJ afneem kost iemand geld. Als de hoster geen liefdadigheidsinstelling is dan moet iemand het betalen. Die iemand ben jij dus. Als je het zo bekijk en je lees alles goed dan valt het denk ik wel mee.

Ik zou niet met deze partijen in zee gaan, tenzij je een trage website wil en diverse downtimes.

Allemaal leuk en aardig, maar reken maar even uit hoeveel van dit soort klanten op een server moet komen te staan voordat er hier winst uit komt.
De servers zullen hierdoor behoorlijk op hun donder krijgen en uptime en minimale snelheden zullen er dan ook niet worden gegandeerd.

(mag wel aannemen dat ze dit in een cluster omgeving doen)

Niet unlimited en unmetered, maar wel heel veel en goedkoop is Servage, waar ik al jaren verschillende accounts heb. Kijk maar eens op
