Phoenix, AZ: October 7, 2014:
Phoenix NAP®, a global IT services provider offering cloud and bare metal servers, colocation, and enterprise Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) technology solutions, today announced that Veeam® Software, the innovative provider of solutions that deliver Availability for the Modern Data Center™, has selected Phoenix NAP to support Veeam Cloud Connect, one of the many new capabilities in Veeam Availability Suite™ v8, which will become generally available later this quarter.

As a launch partner, Phoenix NAP is offering the new service – known as Phoenix NAP Cloud Backup for Veeam – prior to its general market release. This allows the global IT services provider to leverage Veeam Cloud Connect to offer its customers a fully integrated, secure, and efficient way to move Veeam backups to an offsite repository managed by Phoenix NAP. Additionally, this service helps customers avoid the upfront capital investment of finding and procuring an off-site physical infrastructure. Phoenix NAP Cloud Backup for Veeam is available now.

Veeam’s goal is to make the Always-On Business™ a reality for IT, and Veeam Cloud Providers like Phoenix NAP play a critical role in making that happen,” said Doug Hazelman, vice president of product strategy at Veeam. “Phoenix NAP has built deep relationships with its customers as a trusted advisor, and with Veeam Cloud Connect, we’re providing a technology platform that will enable it to provide our joint customers with the highest quality off-site backup services.

Phoenix NAP Cloud Backup for Veeam is available out of any of Phoenix NAP’s three global locations – Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Phoenix in Arizona, Ashburn in Virginia, – enabling customers to back up their data in the region best suited to their needs. Coupled with self-service online ordering options and quick deployment times, the solution can be provisioned in four hours or less.

Veeam has a reputation for innovation, and Veeam Cloud Connect is a good example of how that reputation is applied to meet market demands,” said William Bell, VP of product development for Phoenix NAP. “In today’s climate, it’s imperative for businesses to have a backup strategy and service in place. Through this new solution and our partnership with Veeam, our customers can safely and securely back up their mission critical data to our off-site cloud environments, and do so quickly. We are proud to be included as one of Veeam’s launch partners, and look forward to offering this new service to our customers.
The new Veeam Availability Suite v8 will be generally available later this quarter. Phoenix NAP is supporting the Veeam Cloud Connect capability from the release.

As a Veeam Cloud Provider, Phoenix NAP will provide support for cloud backup as part of Veeam Cloud Connect, eliminating the need for customers to deploy costly off-premise infrastructure
