i3D.net connects to NL-ix upgrades DE-CIX, AMS-IX, PLIX
Rotterdam, The Netherlands - December 5th, 2013i3D.net performed a major network capacity upgrade in the past months, to prepare for increased network-wide bandwidth levels.

New connectivity: NL-ix
A new connection has been made to the NL-ix, with 2x 10 Gbit/s. i3D.net connects redundantly to the 6th largest internet exchange.

Upgraded connectivity: AMS-IX, DE-CIX, PLIX
i3D.net upgraded the Amsterdam-based AMS-IX connection to 30 Gbit/s, the Frankfurt-based DE-CIX connection to 20 Gbit/s, and the PLIX in Warsaw, Poland, to 10 Gbit/s.

Private peering connections in London have doubled after the installation of a new Brocade NetIron XMR router in our Telehouse Docklands North point of presence. We have also installed a router in our new point of presence in Warsaw's LIM building, from which we can offer 10 GbE connectivity.

Upgraded MPLS networks:
To support the increased traffic we have also added additional 10 Gbit/s connections between our datacenter SmartDC in Rotterdam, to Amsterdam, to Frankfurt and to London. An additional new darkfiber path will enable on-demand scaling of bandwidth to our Amsterdam hub.
With connectivity on the AMS-IX, DE-CIX, LINX, NL-ix and PLIX i3D.net is connected to the largest internet exchanges in the world. i3D.net uses these connections to create a more reliable, direct, low latency connection to major cable/DSL/dialup ISPs, as well as content providers.
