access denied in apache

Hallo,

Ik ben geen beginner, maar ik kom er na uren zoeken toch niet uit.
Ik heb apache 2 geïnstalleerd en probeer m'n oude configuratie over te
zetten naar de nieuwe server en loop meteen tegen de meest basale
vereiste aan: lees-rechten.

uit httpd.conf:
User apache
Group users

Ik heb alle bestanden owner apache gegeven en group users.

rechten index.html:
-rw-rw-r-- 1 apache users 236 Dec 18 2002 index.html

rechten DocumentRo
drwxrwxr-x 22 apache users 4096 Jan 21 11:42 .

en toch: permission denied meldingen. error_log:
[Fri Jan 21 11:44:30 2005] [error] [client 10.0.0.1] (13)Permission
denied: access to /index.html denied

Ik ben los. Weet iemand waar het nog meer aan kan liggen?

Nog een heel vreemd verschijnsel dat er wellicht mee te maken heeft: ik
heb 3 virtual hosts gedefinieerd:

<VirtualHost *:8080>
DocumentRoot /home/httpd/plusleo/
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost *:8081>
DocumentRoot /home/httpd/zakelijk/
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost *:8082>
DocumentRoot /home/httpd/inspiratieinwerk/
</VirtualHost>

Als ik httpd herstart krijg ik de volgende meldingen:
Warning: DocumentRoot [/home/httpd/plusleo/] does not exist
Warning: DocumentRoot [/home/httpd/zakelijk/] does not exist
Warning: DocumentRoot [/home/httpd/inspiratieinwerk/] does not exist

Ook hier lijken de rechten gewoon goed te staan:
[root@linux ~]# ls -ld /home/httpd/zakelijk/
drwxr-xr-x 6 apache users 4096 Jan 21 2003 /home/httpd/zakelijk/

thoughts anyone???

Dat is normaal gesproken voldoende. Als ik even zoek op je foutmelding
zie ik die wel meer opduiken in combinatie met selinux. Dus als je bv
een recente fedora draaid zou dat het wel eens kunnen zijn, zie dan bv

Geweldig! Bedankt. Het werkt nog niet allemaal, maar dit probleem is nu
tenminste uit de weg.
