He meets many of those managers and sysadmins both on the Internet and
IRL. You don't seem to know what you are talking about.

Where do you get these figures? What do you mean?

You are entitled to your opinion, but please back it up with some actual
    evidence.

Would you like to elaborate on this? Even after several readings I still
don't understand what you are trying to say.

Are you trying to say that more postings come from his domains then there
are complaints about Tiscali? Gee, maybe he uses his domains. There are
also more postings from the xs4all domain than there are complaints about
tiscali, are you implying that xs4all consists of morons?

Or are you talking about his cancel messages? In that case you should
    really learn how usenet works.

Whatever you are complaining about, I cannot see any relevance to the case
    at hand.

Which community? You doing two google searches and misinterpreting what
you saw? Or are others really involved. Up till now, you show no evidence
of any clue whatsoever, so for the moment, I'll assume you mean yourself.

    > Who are you ?
    > "You don't understand us" I rather not !! If constructive dialog with
    > "us" ends in blackmail, then you should be learned a lesson.

You call it blackmail. It is not. Tiscali is the bad neighbour that shits
all over the street. If they don't want to talk about it, we clean up the
    shit ourselves.

    > Don't you wonder why there are so little people supporting you ? Don't
    > think that the few people that support your 'great ideas' and your
    > 'ethical' feelings are shared by the majority of internet users.

    Please back this up.

    > more then 50% -of the 8 million- users don't even know what usenet is,

So they are irrelevant to this discussion.

    > of those who know probally some 10% use it on a regullar basis. And of
    > those -seriously- using the usenet probally 0,01% is share your thoughts
    > about how ' your' usenet should look like.

Oh, you really know what you are talking about now. Those figures mean
shit. If you want to talk about this, let's talk about the users of
usenet. All others are plain irrelevant, so why drag them into this.

From those, the ones that really have any stake in this matter are the
Tiscali users and those that suffer under the abuse coming from Tiscali.
The second group is much larger than the first group.

But even then, it is irrelevant. I drive a car, but I don't know all the
technical details of both my car and the infrastructure I drive on. I
don't care. Why should people have to care how the usenet infrastructure
works? As long as it works. People like Mendel make it work. Providers
    like Tiscali kill it.

It /is/ very relevant to all other providers who have to bear the burden
of Tiscali. If they did not agree, an UDP would be a snowball in hell, it
    would melt in a microsecond.

    > So open your eyes, and get a life.

Mendel has a life, thank you very much.

    > Just ask people who do have a life -such as Sabri- how you also can

I wonder how Sabri thinks about this?

Broehahahahaha. You really know what you are talking about don't you?
There is nothing illegal going on here. Free hint: do some reading up
about how usenet works, UDPs in general and this UDP in particular.

    > for people still reading this nonsens some facts:

Ah, facts at last, I was tiring a bit from your nonsense.

So? What are you trying to say here?

    > In the Netherlands we have saying: "De pot verwijt de ketel dat hij
    > zwart ziet" which means something like: "Do not say someone else is
    > wrong if you are not seeing yourself going wrong".

You are implying that Mendel has made himself guilty of spamming, rogue
canceling, forgeries, flooding, etc, etc. He has not. Tiscali makes these
practices possible, that is what this UDP is about.

    > Besides this fact, people should boycot Mendel * friends and those

Yes, usenet runs on a lot of volunteers, ISPs depend on those.

    > And he consumes 50% of what all tiscali customers are consuming
    > together. (yeah, people can 'spoof' domain name etc...etc.., but then
    > again look at the BIG picture)

Excuse me? Can you back that up? The google searches you posted above
search for something quite different. But even if it were true, it is
completely irrelevant. This is not about bandwith. This is about Tiscali
    not acting on abuse.

    > I think that he should pay for the traffic he generated. ISP's should be

    He does.

If Mendel and others did not cancel spam, your ISP would have to charge a
higher fee because of all the needed extra bandwidth and hardware. SO
again you show that you have no clue what you are talking about.

    > I am not an (former) employee of Tiscali, I don't even like the idea

There is a big difference between neighbours that are contributing to
infrastructure -or even own a part of it- and neighbours who don't.

If you own a part of a street, you may shit on it.

If you want to clean shit in a street you don't own, you are free to do so,
but don't damage OPP (others people property)

Yes, and many who own property there applaud what Mendel and others do.
Otherwise they would not accept their cancels. Without the consent of the
property owners, Mendel could do nothing.

    > If you own a part of a street, you may shit on it.

OK, you just disqualified yourself. I just hope you never come to live in
my neighbourhood. Or rather I hope you do, than we can continue this
    discussion IRL.

    > If you want to clean shit in a street you don't own, you are free to do

Nail on the head. Tiscali is dammaging OPP.

Exactly, they can shit on their own local network because they own it.
Many newsserver don't want to store tiscali's shit on THEIR servers so
    they accept the UDP

No, you may not. Unless the street is in your own garden and not to be
used by anyone except you yourself. That is exactly what will be
accomplished by Tiscali's UDP: their shit will remain where it belongs,
    in their yard only.

By your logic: if I own a bit of Semtex I may blow you to pieces.

    > If you want to clean shit in a street you don't own, you are free to do so,
    > but don't damage OPP (others people property)

The reverse is true although you will still refuse to get it: *Tiscali*
endangers and damages what I and you pay for. And Mendel makes sure the
damage will no longer be at every usenet citizens expense but payed by
who should pay for it. Tiscali and its customers and no one else.

I would say thanks for the compliment and don't feed the trolls.

As for the Tiscali UDP: as soon as they show even the smallest sign of
compliance and/or understanding of what's going on, the UDP should be
suspended until such time as their further actions are known.

As not many from bigger providers react here on the UDP, I really wanted
