Al enige jaren krijgen wij berichten met de vraag om de contact data voor domeinnamen te verifieren. Wij registreren bij Enom, het lijkt een bericht van enom zelf te zijn.

Het lijkt iets met elkaar te maken te hebben, wie weet overigens of die eerste wel correct is?

Edit: WDRP is wel normaal, http://www.icann.org/en/registrars/wdrp.htm. Die andere is zo te zien de gebruikelijke scam.

Dit soort berichten zijn echt heel erg irritant, kan ik de klanten weer op de hoogte gaan stellen.

lijkt me inderdaad een scam. Voor je het weet ben je je domein naam kwijt door dit soort geintjes

Ach, zonder EPP-code wordt het toch moeilijk om de domeinnaam te verhuizen voor ze... E-mail aanmelden bij SpamCop en weer vergeten...

Ze verhuizen je domein ook niet. Voegen hem alleen maar toe aan een search engine:

Da's snel verdiend.
$ 75 voor het invullen van het "Add your URL to Google" formuliertje. $-)


Maar goed, ze vermelden in ieder geval het bedrag duidelijk.
Krijg ook steeds vaker van die "aanbiedingen" waar in grote letters "Updating is free of charge!" boven staat.

En in de kleine lettertjes: "I WILL HAVE AN INSERTION INTO ITS DATA BASE FOR THREE YEARS. THE PRICE PER YEAR IS EURO 995"

Heb er gisteren en vandaag ook enkele gekregen, alleen nog voor .org domeinen. Irritante hiervan is dat ze volledige gegevens gebruiken van de whois. Valt me trouwens nog mee dat dit niet vaker voor komt.
