Installatron 5.0
Installatron5 is a completely new version of Installatron. This new release features a greatly improved interface, better panel integration, a much more powerful installer/upgrader system, a number of new features, and will be completely brandable.
Installatron5 beta
This beta has been made available to test compatibility of the new Installatron core on your servers before the new version replaces Installatron v3. We will also be completing some of the functionality during the beta period. We are more than happy to resolve any problems you find.
This beta will work on any server with a current Installatron license. It will not interfere with the operation of Installatron3 running on the server. However, do not use this beta to create production installs, and be careful not to create installs with this beta that interfere with working Installatron3 installs.
New beta versions will be released regularly until final is ready. The Installatron5 beta_installer will automatically create a CRON entry to check for updates every hour (this will be reduced to once per day for final).
Current Testing Focus
release candidate 3: The (hopefully) final release candidate. We added support for the changes to cPanel's "add-on domains", added the theming/branding administration tools, and tweaked the administration settings layout a bit.
release candidate 2: The major addition for RC2 is the Installatron3-to-Installatron5 install conversion. When your beta install upgrades to RC2 it will automatically import all existing i3 installs into your i5 beta. Converted installs will not be upgradable or uninstallable from i5beta, and they will be completely refreshed when i5final is released. It will be worth giving your imported installs, for a random selection of users, a quick check to see that there have not been any problems. If you find a problem, let us know.
release candidate 1: Installatron 5 is now ready for final release. At least, we think so. This first RC release includes finalized administration and user tools, and completed i5-style installers. If you find any problems at all with rc1 please let us know. When we stop receiving bug reports we will release Installatron 5 final, which will replace the current Installatron 3.
beta 7: The Install Overview administration tool has been added and we'd like to hear if you have any problems with it.
beta 6: The Access Groups administration tool has been added and we'd like to hear if you have any problems with it.
beta 1: The current focus is on installing and server compatibility. Does Installatron5 install correctly on your server, and does the software work?
