Sorry about the English (I mean the language, not the people. NObody can
be sorry enough for them)

Great. Just what we need. A X-post to SCB about racism by somebody who
clearly does not understand Usenet. I still will try to explain:

Usenet is a connections of servers that pass on every message in every
group they carry that recieves them. These messages are then again
related to those who want to recieve all these messages.

So imagine that a server_A gets a message and server_B wants it, he just
grabs it. The server_C and server_D want it and grab it from server_B.
Next server_E, _F and so on.

The amount of groups depends per server. Most of them have several
thousands. The amount of messages per day depends on the group. SCB had
some 127000 messages or about 350 per day. That is only for one group.

The kind of messages you disagree with can be posted in any of these
groups, wich would mean that somebody has to filter trough all these
messages and to filter them out on ALL of the servers. There are
thousands of servers around the world. Each hosted in a different
country with a different provider/company or individual.

To do this you would need a lawsuit in each of these cases and some even
per server.

Now let us take the example of just the Belgian servers (I have one
running as well) to stop these messages you must have people filter out
the messages, wich will cost a LOT of money and then still some messages
will get trough. The only way to stop these messages is by filing a
lawsuit against the person or persons who are posting there.

See Usenet as the telephone system or "De Post". I can transfer anything
I like trough these two things and with the post even readable on a
postcard. Still I would not dream of having them be responisble about
what I get.

<snip my own posting where I was having a statement wich would be only
for SCB and not for be.providers>
