Zijn er al hosters die Linux aanbieden met mono geinstalleerd zodat daarop ASP.NET applicaties gedraaid kunnen worden? Ben erg benieuwd.

Als je niet weet wat mono is:

"Mono provides the necessary software to develop and run .NET client and server applications on Linux, Solaris, Mac OS X, Windows, and Unix. Sponsored by Novell, the Mono open source project has an active and enthusiastic contributing community and is positioned to become the leading choice for development of Linux applications."

Ik heb het getest op Linux, maar ik vond het een redelijke ramp, veel van mijn applicaties werkt niet of half.

Geef mij maar Windows voor ASP.NET applicaties.

ASP onder Linux was al niet veel, maar dit is nog veel erger. Ik zou het echt niemand aanraden om op een productieserver te zetten.

Ik verwacht ook niet dat het uberhaupt zal werken, het is een beetje van dat halve gedoe (en daar hou ik niet van).
