Hi,
I've had the following problem with the Philips "ADSL wireless base
station" (the one sold by Belgacom); I'd like to know wether other people
had similar problems with that modem/router.

This morning all internet access was lost, although I didn't change any
setting, neither on the modem or on my computer.
- Power cycle the modem didn't help.
- When I switched on the modem, the synchronisation appeared to be allright
(the led blinked and then stayed on). But the third led ("Line on") stayed
off.
- I tested my adsl line with another modem and my adsl line was alright.
- Communication between the router and the computers was alright (I had
access to the modem's web interface through 192.168.1.1).
- On the status screen of the modem, it sayd "connected" but didn't report a
Wan IP.
- Trying to reset the modem through
"advanced settings" -> "maintenance" -> "reset"
didn't help
- Only after a hard reset (pressing the reset button on the rear of the
modem), and re-configuration, was my modem working again.

("Line on") restait éteinte.
