Hi,
I have got the belgacom adsl connection two months ago.
During the day (8AM-8PM) my computer is loosing
connection every 5-15 minutes which is quite irritating.
The problem dissapears in the evening, so I think that
the fault is not on my side.
Does anyone have a similar problem?

Could be your line is picking up interference from another line which is
only active during the day. Probably the problem doesn't occur in the
week-ends....
Shouldn't be a problem though to get a technician to solve the problem,
since it's happening frequently and during business hours.

I had the exact same problem for months in 2003.

I'll not list the contradictory suggestions and diagnostics by
Belgacom. To summarize, they were not capable to fix it.

They didn't event listen to me when told I was knowing when my young
neighbour was using its connection instead of going to school :))

...... The problem disappeared after I replaced my Adsl modem.

Iniitally, a Wisecom AD80-USG USB modem :
- not a single disconnection in 1 Mbps
- has also worked perfectly for months at 3 Mbps

Was replaced by a Bipac 711 CE (dual port USB-Ethernet) when I decided
to replace PC driven ICS by a router-switch.

The frequent disconnection problem has disappeared with the new modem.
