Bekijk Volledige Versie : SKYNET / ADSL OFFICE / ADSL MODEM-ROUTER CONFIGURATION

We have ADSL Office subsciption from SkyNet.
We have our own Alcatel SpeedTouch 510 ADSL modem/router.

I am told by SkyNet that they use PPPoA encapsulation for ADSL
PRO/OFFICE/PREMIUM service in the ADSL modem/router configuration. Is this
true?
However ADSL modem requires a "login passwd" when I choose PPPoA.
Skynet provided us a fixed IP but they say there is no need for login &
password and there is no login password.

They also say I have to buy CISCO 827 (PSTN) or FlowServe -this is what they
support with ADSL pro/office/premium subscription.

Did anybody tried to install their own ADSL modem/router rather than leasing
the hardware from Belgacom?

Any help concerning how to configure the parameters of a ADSL modem/router
for SKYNET ADSL Office subscription such as:

Encapsulation : PPPoE, PPPoA, Bridge Ethernet etc.
LLC or VC
VIC and VC (i.e. 8/35 for PSTN if I am correct)

would be appreciated.

Thank you

Search for 'be.providers Kajje Flowpoint' on the google newsarchive

Hello,
I have a Cisco (827) router for my ADSL Office. I can post/mail you
the config if you want.

Dear Sven,

I would appreciate if you can mail me the config file for Cisco 827. I have
ordered Cisco 837 which I am told is the upgrade to 827. I believe the
config files are very similar.

Please email to : makbeg@pandora.be

Thank you again in advance.

Thank you to Sven to share his config file with me.

Meanwhile for those who need to configure their own CISCO 827 or 837 router
with ADSL OFFICE, here are the parameters:

Encapsulation: aal5snap - type: RFC 1483 Routed
PVC: 8/35 for analog (PSTN) lines and 0/35 for ISDN lines

Software on the CISCO router also searches for the ISP's encapsulation and
PVC values automatically.

All the best.
