THANK YOU AND GOODBYE!
As of today XS Networks is closed for business. We had a great nine years and would like to thank all our clients and partners for making that happen. As many of our clients knew for several months the shop would be closed on February 1st 2012 and that day has come.
As you may know, the Dutch anti-piracy organization BREIN has sued us for alleged copyright intrusions of one of our clients. We regret that they have chosen to make a spectacle of our last month in business. In our opinion there is nothing illegal about the websites that were hosted with XS Networks and are thankful for the warm messages from other webhosters and appreciation of our clients.
The web is all about innovation and changing the rules. Change which some industries are fighting for years, by throwing money out the window on law-suits instead of a new business model. After great consideration, our client and we together decided to voluntarily hand over the requested client details. This way we avoid costs, distraction from other business and the precious time of our legal system. BREIN will celebrate this as an example of their work for the participants in the entertainment industry, whereas we see it as a waste of time and something that would have happened without them. Nothing new, so all we have left to say is:
So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish!

Zij
