Hallo allemaal,

Kingston: KVR667D2D8F5/2GHE
2GB 667MHz DDR2 ECC Fully Buffered CL5 DIMM 2R x8 Server Hynix E

2 keer
Kingston 4GB 667MHz DDR2 ECC Fully Buffered CL5 DIMM Quad Rank, x8 (KVR667D2Q8F5/4G)
ValueRAM. Memory: 4096 MB, DDR2, 667 MHz, 1 x 4096 MB, 240-pin DIMM, 72 bit, Gold, 512M X 72, DDR2, Quad Rank. Energy management:...

Succes.

Helaas:

Memory Capacity
Eight 240-pin DIMM sockets
Supports up to 32 GB 667 / 533MHz DDR2 ECC FB-DIMM memory
Dual branch memory bus
Memory must be populated in pairs
Memory Mirroring supported

Helaas, dan gewoon bij je keuze blijven.

Weet iemand waarom:

Kingston 4GB 667MHz DDR2 ECC Fully Buffered CL5 DIMM Dual Rank, x4 (KVR667D2D4F5/4G)
Kingston 4GB 667MHz DDR2 ECC Fully Buffered CL5 DIMM Dual Rank, x4, ValueRAM. Memory: 4096 MB, DDR2, 667 MHz, 1 x 4096 MB, 240-pin DIMM, 72 bit, Gold, 512M X 72, DDR2, Dual Rank. Energy management:... 117,- excl.btw

duurder is dan

Kingston 4GB 667MHz DDR2 ECC Fully Buffered CL5 DIMM Quad Rank, x8 (KVR667D2Q8F5/4G)
Kingston 4GB 667MHz DDR2 ECC Fully Buffered CL5 DIMM Quad Rank, x8, ValueRAM. Memory: 4096 MB, DDR2, 667 MHz, 1 x 4096 MB, 240-pin DIMM, 72 bit, Gold, 512M X 72, DDR2, Quad Rank. Energy management:... 97,- excl.btw

In general, single-rank memory modules are built using x4 (“By 4”) DRAM chips and are more expensive than dual-rank memory modules (which are built using x8 DRAM chips); both module types have the same number of chips but the x4 DRAMs are more expensive than x8 DRAMs. Dual-rank memory modules may limit future upgradeability and capacity of servers. when using PC2700 or PC2-3200 memory. This tradeoff between memory cost and capacity is important to consider when purchasing memory modules for Intel Lindenhurst-based servers.

If PC2700 or PC2-3200 memory is used, there is a maximum of 8 ranks per server. For example, if two pairs of dual-rank memory modules are inserted into the memory sockets, that would add up to 8 ranks (4 modules x 2-ranks each = 8 ranks); in this case, empty sockets cannot be used for upgrading memory.

When quad-rank memory modules are supported, server boards will only be able to accommodate 2 quad-ranked memory modules as the 8-rank maximum will be reached, making them ideal for servers with a limited number of memory sockets.
