Smokeping master/slave setup

Ik ben bezig met een Smokeping master/slave setup.
Het wil niet helemaal lukken met de autorisatie van de slave.

De volgende error krijg ik op de SLAVE: (bij het herstarten van Smokeping in Debug mode)



[root@x etc]# /usr/local/smokeping/bin/smokeping -restart -cache-dir=/usr/local/smokeping/cache2 -master-url=http://domein.nl/smokeping/smokeping.cgi -shared-secret=/usr/local/smokeping/pass.txt --debug

WARNING: Data from x.domein.nl was signed with 24eda1d01ef4c04d816921d08e1745ea which does not match our expectation

Sent data to Server. Server said WARNING: Data from x.domein.nl was signed with MD5 key?which does not match our expectation

ERROR: we did not get config from the master. Maybe we are not configured as a slave for any of the targets on the master ?


Inhoud pass.txt:



x.domein.nl:wachtwoorsmokeping


pass.txt is hetzelfde als op de master. Als ik x.domein.nl uit het bestand weghaal geeft hij aan dat hij geen password heeft. Het bestand kan dus wel gelezen worden.

Master config:

Op de webpagina van de master staat wel de slave aangegeven, maar zonder data.

Iemand een idee wat het kan zijn?

Op je master smokeping moet je secret config het volgende zijn:


server1.domein.tld:mijnsecretwachtwoord1
server2.domein.tld:mijnsecretwachtwoord2

en op je slaves heb je enkel het wachtwoord nodig in je secret config


mijnsecretwachtwoord1


Zo werkt het toch voor mijn smokeping master en slaves

Hoe ziet jouw master config eruit?

Gebruik je de FQDN van je host want dat is volgens mij wel een vereiste. Verder ziet mijn config er niet echt speciaal uit:

Let er dus op dat je overal slaves invult bij je hoofdmenu's, zo heb ik dus bepaalde hoofdmenu's die enkel server1 of server2 gebruiken of ze allemaal gebruiken.
