Hello ...

I am a Coldfusion programmer for four years.
My employer recently asked me to learn PHP.

Fine, I thought my knowledge of Perl/CGI would
make it easy, but it turns out that PHP is
not quite the same.

Anyway, for the last couple days, I found out that
the best way for me to learn PHP, was to write PHP
functions with Coldfusion Tag- and Function- names.

I hope this creates a cfPHP library that allows me
to work on projects in both environments at the
same time.

Working on this library not only gave me knowledge
of PHP, but I also learnt some new coldfusion tags
& functions as well :)

I am sure that with an extensive cfPHP library,
other Coldfusion programmers will try programming
in PHP, and that can only benefit the PHP community.

My request, to you experienced PHP programmers, is to
check out the cfPHP forum I started, and to give
improved versions of the functions that are being
publishing there.

Once in a while, they will be compiled to new versions
of the cfPHP library, for every body to use freely.

Please, visit the forum at http://cfphp.how.to

Thanks in advance for you contributions.

- Marco.
