Morgen/overmorgen gaat ie toch pas plat :)
Vandaar de vraag of iemand het nog gebruikt (uit gemak niet verwijderd of zo).
Initial contact regarding "Buy out" have been received from large anti-spam vendors.
60+ Offers of hosting have been received, unfortunately most whilst generous are impossible to use in the short time available. SORBS cannot move to new hosts in the time available. SORBS, does need short term 42RU hosting to consider moving to other hosts.
SORBS has had 2 offers of hosting within the Queensland/North New South Wales area, one of which is by a top hosting company in Australia.
The result is at this present time I, Michelle Sullivan, feel that SORBS will not close on the date specified, though there maybe some small outages around this time.
All offers are welcome, and all offers will receive a response.

Niet dat ik het erg vind. Ben 2 maanden bezig geweest om een IP range van de block list te halen, puur omdat een aantal rDNS entry's als Dynamic IPs eruit zagen.
Een tijd terug schreef ik er al over op ISPam.nl (http://www.ispam.nl/archives/10911/sorbs-blacklist-dreigt-te-moeten-stoppen/). Nu zie ik een bericht op de da-announce mailinglist met de aankondiging SORBS te verwijderen uit de exin.conf.
It's time to remove Sorbs blocklists, if any, from your exim.conf file.
The latest word is that Sorbs will close at 12 noon local time in
Brisbne Australia (+10.00), on July 20th.
All ACL references to any sorbs blocklists should be completely
commented out, and then you should restart exim.
SpamBlocker 3 has been delayed for some additional fine-tuning, and even
after it's released it may be some time before it's officially included
in DirectAdmin.
So you should do this before SpamBlocker3 comes out.
I'm sending this message myself (one of only several I've sent to this
list) to make sure everyone gets it in time.

Voor zover ik weet (en zoals ook op de site staat aangegeven) blijft SORBS waarschijnlijk wel gewoon online.
Ik kan er weinig rouwig om zijn. Deze lijst had op zijn zachtst gezegd een vrij discutabele reputatie.

Mooi zo, heb 1 keer $ 50,00 moeten betalen om een klant van die lijst te laten halen. Stelletje k*tcriminelen zijn het.
Zoals het er nu uitziet zal de lijst voorlopig gewoon online blijven.
Hier hebben we het van alle (managed) servers verwijderd.. uit de logs is gebleken dat maar een heel klein deel door SORBS wordt geblokkeerd.. andere spamlijsten doen hun werk daarvoor al.
