Wie kan mij helpen??
Ik heb een raq550 server en draai PHP 5.04 en mySql 4.1.14
Ik heb voor 1 scriptje register_globals nodig....
Security risk.... weet ik maar het is voor tijdelijk.
Het staat nu uiteraard uit maar ik wil het voor 1 site aan hebben.
Nu heb ik geprobeerd om het eest algemeen aan te zetten in php.ini maar dat lukt al niet.
Ik heb 5 php.ini files op mijn server gevonden en in allemaal de globals op on gezet.
Maar met info.php zegt hij dat het nog steeds uit is.
Configuration File (php.ini) Path /etc/httpd/PHP_NUONCE_5/php.ini
Deze is dus ook ge-edit.
Er is dus iets wat de configuratie weer over ruled ofzo.
een file die later word geladen ofzo.
Nu denk ik dat zolang ik het niet voor alles aan krijg ik het zeker niet voor 1 site kan aanpassen.
Ik heb al een .htaccess file geprobeerd met "'php_flag register_globals on" maar dan krijg ik een INTERNAL SERVER ERROR 500.......
Ook heb ik geprobeerd om een php.ini te maken in de root van de site met dezelfde tekst, maar hier doet hij niks mee.
HELP HELP HELP wie kan mij HELPEN.

Ik denk dat het wél werkt met die .htaccess regel, en dat daarna mod_security om de hoek komt kijken om de boel te weigeren omdat je dingen doet wat mod sec niet leuk vindt.

mod_security al uitgezet? Heb je in de log gekeken waarom je een 500 krijgt? In audit_log moet je dan wezen volgens mij!

Kijk eens of Zend Optimiser geinstalleerd is. Deze gebruikt vaak een eigen php.ini.

of
# whereis php.ini

mod_security is evil. Deze kun je het beste even deactiveren omdat die nog wel eens problemen geeft.

Dit is wat ik in een logfile heb gevonden /var/log/httpd/error

Dus heeft .htaccess geen rechten hiervoor begrijp ik..
maar hoe wijzig ik dit dan???
En voor zover ik kan beooordelen is er geen MOD_SECURITY geinstalleerd want kan er niks van vinden ook geen logfiles ofzo.
Maar geen ervaring hiermee dus mischien doe ik iets fout hoor.
en ook in de php.ini van zend staan de globals op ON

Nog meer sugesties iemand???
Alvast bedankt iedereen voor de reacties tot nu toe...

Heb ondertussen iets gevonden over dat je in je HTTPD.CONF file iets van AllowOverride zou moeten zetten voor de PHP_VALUE.
Maar in mijn httpd.conf file staat niets over allowoverride en ik heb ook geen idee waar ik dit moet plaatsen

Kijk even of het werkt als je
php_flag register_globals on
in httpd.conf zet.
Zet dat wel even in de juiste <VirtualHost>

Als het script niet te groot is had het je minder tijd gekost om het om te bouwen :)

Als alternatief kan je ook onderstaand stukje PHP aan het begin van het betreffende script toevoegen, heeft hetzelfde effect:

sorry voor de grote stukken tekst maar ben niet echt bekend met het forum...
heb nu als het goed is een bijlage er bij gedaan van mijn php.ini.
Is er een mogelijkheid om die post van mijn php info te verwijderen want daardoor is de layout hellemaal uitgerekt. dus niet echt leesbaar meer voor iedereen

ondertussen heb ik dit gevonden in mijn access.conf file:

Als ik dit wijzig in:

Dan krijg ik geen 500 error meer op mijn .htaccess file met daarin:
php_flag register_globals on

Ik heb ook dit geprobeerd maar werkt ook niet:
php_value register_globals 1

maar register_globals blijft uit....
In alle php.ini files staat het op ON maar er is iets wat het overruled maar wat.

PHP draait bij jou als Apache module (geen cgi - phpsuexec), dus override moet inderdaad via .htaccess.
Als AllowOverride niet is toegelaten (via access.conf of via httpd.conf), dan zal je inderdaad een "Internal Server Error" krijgen als je een .htaccess aanmaakt.

In je httpd.conf zal per VirtualHost een DocumentRoot gespecifieerd staan (bv. /home/.sites/123/site19/web). Als je dan in je access.conf volgende zet zal voor die DocumentRoot's de AllowOverride (volledig) open staan en moet je .htaccess kunnen gebruiken:

Opmerkingen:
in je httpd.conf kan een include gebeuren van een andere conf file, die de settings in de httpd.conf kan overrulen.
