Hi Community,
i am looking vor Dedicated Server in Netherlands. There should be at least 2 IP-Addresses included, and the traffic should be flat. 1 MBit would be ok, 10 MBit great. Dumb web interface software like Plesk or webmin not needed. I will install NetBSD on it and administer via ssh. Offerts with reboot- and image-reinstall -service preferred.
I dont have any credit card, so this is no option to pay for me. Please let your prices include taxes. Contract can be a half year, full year or even longer.

Was looking via google and this list for offers which fit my needs, Amenworld's small server looks like what i need. It is 70,56 incl. / month. You can find it on amenworld.nl/static/index_841.html

Maybe you can do it a little cheaper.

Prozessor is niet belangrijk voor mij. Kan langzam zijn.
All over 700 Mhz is good enough for me. Speicher should be 512 MB (or more).
Harddisk w/ 80GB is ok too, the bigger that better.

The Amenworld offer is not flatfee but metered and includes 1TB data transfer. So do you want the unmetered offer or an alternative metered offer?

Best would be wire transfair / bank transfair (IBAN). Can do Western Union too. Shoud be possible to pay every month or every 3 months. Once a year is not possible for me.

In EU (Republic of Austria).

It sais "Ongelimiteerd maandelijks dataverkeer bij afname van een jaar contract".
Best would be flat for me. Just to be on the safe side.

Really good offer, but my budget is too low for this.

Why are netherlands server so much more expensive then german ones?
Hetzner.de for example offers Athlon 64, 1 GB RAM, 2x160 GB SATA, first 1000 GB on 100 Mbits / all traffic above 1000 Gigs on 10 Mbits including all taxes for 49.- Euros, same with 2 GB RAM and 2x 300 SATA for 59.-/month all inclusive.

But as said, i prefer Netherlands.

Swiftway-UK's offer is really low for Dutch standards.
I think it will be hard (either impossible) to find cheaper quote's.

I advise you to increase your budget or to look for a VPS instead a dedicated server.

Why are netherlands server so much more expensive then german ones?

That is something i always wonder myself, it really does not make economic sense to offer dedicated servers at such enormous low prices, unless they know something that we do not.

my personal opinion and reasoning next, this is only my opinion:

We do know however that a lot of those companies are backed by huge telecoms that can afford to burn money to get market share, that might be a reason, since they simply must lose money on every server that is rented out against such low prices, no matter what their scale is.

It might be a tactic to eliminate the other (smaller) players in the low budget segment and then raise the prices, or simply a tactic to gain marketshare and then sell off the company. Whatever the reason, German dedicated server providers usually burn money while Dutch companies are profit orientated.

I understand i cant get the german prices in netherlands.
I will reconsider my needs over the weekend and make a new Aanvrage.

Hi again, are you able to give me less RAM and slower Processor?
My (re)calculation sais that my absolute limit is 65 - 70 € incl. taxes.
or maybe you can strap down bandwith to 2 mbit?
